Wakeups Logging and Support Guide

At Prospect Hill, we prioritize the well-being of our participants and the accuracy of our reporting. Below are essential steps and guidelines to ensure wakeups are logged correctly while adhering to NDIS compliance and our internal policies.

A. Yes & No.

Yes, if participant requires a mobility support or other known support. 

No, if they are going to the toilet or getting a cup of water or get up to watch a television. Please use your judgement.

A: Click the "Start" button on the timer when a wakeup begins. Once the task is complete, click the "Stop" button. Fill out the form with the required details, including the task performed, participant's name, and other relevant information, then hit "Submit."

A: Provide a brief yet clear description of the assistance you provided during the wakeup. For example:

  • "Assisted participant with mobility to the bathroom."
  • "Administered PRN medication as per guidelines."

A: Prospect Hill reserves the right to decline wakeups if they are deemed unnecessary. Always attempt to redirect the participant to bed first unless it is an emergency or you believe the assistance is genuinely required. Any wakeups logged without valid justification may not be accepted.

A: Refresh the webpage or try restarting your device. If the issue persists, contact IT support. In the meantime, manually record the start and end times and email it to the Helpdesk.

A: If you forget to log a wakeup in real-time, email to helpdesk as soon as possible. Ensure you include accurate start and end times along with a detailed description of the task performed.

  • Always prioritize redirecting participants to bed unless the situation warrants immediate or necessary assistance.
  • Maintain professionalism and ensure all wakeups logged align with the NDIS and Prospect Hill's policies.
  • Contact helpdesk if you encounter any issues with the logging system or have questions regarding wakeup guidelines.
